KGF Chapter 2 OTT release to happen soon
Prashanth Neel’s KGF 2 showcased the next chapter of Kolar Gold Fields where a new overlord, Rocky, played by Yash took the stage by storm. After impressing the audience and critics alike with individual performances and the story, now the movie has made history in the OTT scene. According to reports by the Times of India, KGF Chapter 2 OTT rights have been acquired by a popular OTT platform for a whopping Rs. 320 crores. While it has not been revealed which streaming platform has grabbed the distribution rights of the film, some rumors suggest that the movie can start streaming starting May 27. Do note, this information has not been confirmed by either any OTT platforms or the makers of the film.
KGF 2 Box Office Collections
The Sanjay Dutt and Yash starrer was released on April 14 and ever since its release it has taken the entire movie industry by a storm. The movie has acquired high praise from both the audience and film critics. Showing its popularity, the movie has made plenty of records as well. Apart from being the highest-grossing film in the Kannada film industry, KGF Chapter 2 is also just the fourth Indian film to gross over 1000 crores globally. It has also set a record in Kerala for achieving the highest-first day gross revenue in the state.
In its third week, KGF 2 has earned a total of Rs. 922 crores in India, according to Pinkvilla. The breakdown suggests that the entire North India contributed Rs. 455 crores, while Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana and Tamilnadu’s share of revenue was Rs. 160 crores, Rs. 146 crores, and Rs. 101 crores, respectively.
